The convention F.A.C.T.S. is organised once a year by Con-Fuse, an organisation which promotes Science Fiction, Comics, Fantasy and Japanese animation.

Paul McGillion was born in Paisley, Scotland (January 5th, 1969) but emmigrated with his family to Canada at the age of 2. He's worked extensively in Film, TV and Theatre for the past 15 years and is best known for the role of 'Dr.Carson Beckett', the loveable Scottish physcian in "Stargate: Atlantis". He also appears in Sanctuary.

Other feature film credits include "The Deal" with Christian Slater and Selma Blair, "Jack","A Guy Thing" and the award winning "See Grace Fly" for which Paul was nominated in the 2004 'Lead Male' Leo Award catagory.

Television credits include lead and guest starring roles on "Da Vinci's Inquest", "Cold Squad", "Smallville", "Stargate: SG1", "The Twilight Zone" and "The X-FIles".

Paul McGillion auditioned for the role of Scotty for the new Star Trek film, but the filmmakers found a different role for the actor.
