The convention F.A.C.T.S. is organised once a year by Con-Fuse, an organisation which promotes Science Fiction, Comics, Fantasy and Japanese animation.

F.A.C.T.S. GUEST - Corin Nemec

Corin Nemec was born as on November 5th 1971 in Little Rock, Arkansas.

His mother is a graphics artist, painter, writer and poet while his father was a very successful Art and Production Designer on movies such as "Terminator 2 - Judgement Day", "The Abyss", "Patriot Games", "Twister and Speed 2".

Corin joined the Center Stage in L.A when he was eleven and went on to acting in TV commercials and Tv-shows soon afterwards. His first major breakthrough was in 1987 when he got the role as Nicky Papadropolis in "Webster". In 1988 he made his first feature movie playing Noble Tucker in the movie "Tucker - The Man And His Dream".

He gained cult status for playing the title role in the hit teen sitcom "Parker Lewis Can't Lose", a show inspired by John Hughes' popular '86 movie "Ferris Bueller's Day Off". The series were also extremely popular in France.

He played many movies in the nineties such as "Solar Crisis" (alongside his favourite actor Jack Palance in 1990), "Drop Zone" (1994), "Operation Dumbo Drop" (1995) and starred in the very popular Stephen King mini-series "The Stand" as Harold Lauder.

When Michael Shanks, Dr. Daniel Jackson in the hit TV Show "Stargate SG-1", quit the series at the end of season 5, Corin Nemec was chosen to fill his big shoes. He gained many new fans for his portrayal of the Kelownan Jonas Quinn and although only appearing in one season (Season 6), he made his mark on the show, bringing humour and freshness and many great stories. A site was even created to bring his character back.

His most recent movies Corin are the horror flicks "Mansquito" and "Raging Sharks".

Interesting facts about Corin:
- Corin is a firm believer in Scientology, supports the philosophy immensely and has experienced the benefits of it in his own life.
- Besides acting, he also writes poetry, short stories, screenplays and children's books.
- His favourite american actors are Charlize Theron and Johnny Depp.
- He married his high school sweetheart Jamie in May 2002 and are the proud parents to a daughter Sadie Joy and to a son Lucas Manu.
