F.A.C.T.S. 14 - october 9/10 2004 - Report
Enjoy the best moments of F.A.C.T.S. 2004
The F.A.C.T.S.2004 weekend started on Friday with the screening of the movie "Dead and Breakfast" in the Decascoop in Ghent. The movie was introduced by no less than Mr.
David Carradine himself.
During the weekend,
more than 80 dealers from several countries, covering more than 4500 square meters, attended F.A.C.T.S.
More than 5500 visitors enjoyed their merchandise.
As usual, F.A.C.T.S was not mere a convention where stuff can be bought. Several activities were organized, no less than
7 guests attended our convention:
David Carradine ("Kill Bill", "Kung Fu-The Legend") and
Dirk Benedict ("Battlestar Galactica", "The A-Team") both signed dozens of autographs. Star Wars was represented by
Peter Mayhew (Star Wars Trilogy),
Jeremy Bulloch (Star Wars Trilogy),
Daniel Logan (Star Wars: Episodes I & II) and
Nalini Krishan (Star Wars: Episodes II & III). There was even a surprise visit from
Michael Kingma (Star Wars: Episode III - first convention attendance ever thanks to Teekay421) and last but not least: the impressive Lawrence Makoare ("Lord of the Rings", "007 - Die Another Day").
There was also good news for the anime-buffs since F.A.C.T.S. held, as before, several
anime projections (with thanks to Dybex and Nekotachi). Ten screenings were organized during the weekend. It was just a pity that the fans did not always find their way to the projection room.
"Shop Less Ordinary" organized several
videogame tournaments, such as King of Fighters, Maximum Impact and Naruto 2 in a bigger and highly visited Arcade-Gallery.
As usual,
scores of fan-clubs attended the F.A.C.T.S.-weekend. They brought a lot of props to be admired and their members entertained the public with their ravishing costumes.A true feast for the eye.
The F.A.C.T.S.-weekend ended as it begun, namely with a screening in the Decascoop, where the student-movies of the man who brought us Star Wars could be admired.
